CourtSmart assists in compliance with the American Disability Act (ADA) and ADAAG requirements as amended in 2010. Sections 219 Assistive Listening Systems defines the requirements for compliance. CourtSmart installs ADA compliant hearing assisted systems that are right for any situation ensuring that all parties have the ability to hear and participate in proceedings and in accordance with the requirements of 219 and complying with 706. CourtSmart Infrared (IR) systems eliminate costly installation and makes any public facility compliant with the regulations that are now mandatory under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
CourtSmart’s ADA systems are installed as either a permanent or portable solution. Extra receivers, batteries, and chargers are always included with each system. Receivers are included that fully comply with the requirements of 219.3 for hearing aid and cochlear implant compatibility.
CourtSmart’s IR solution provides secure audio transmission to participants within the courtroom. Our ADAAG solutions are not only compliant with the law but provide other opportunities for use within the courtrooms such as language translation services and enabling bench conferences to be heard by the defendants without approaching the bench area. Compliance is no longer costly or inconvenient.
