CourtSmart technology brings to the courtroom an unequalled level of security, function and data integration. The technology can be implemented in a variety of models from portable laptop solutions to the fully integrated central control models seen in courthouses such as DuPage Circuit court in Illinois and the numerous circuits in Florida such as Ft Lauderdale, Ft Myers, Pinellas, Polk County, Sarasota, Daytona Beach and many others. The central control model can control remote as well as local courtrooms from one location over LAN and WAN.
The CourtSmart application provides all the function required to simultaneously and securely stream audio and video for preview as well as recording. All of the functionality is provided with the system and no additional development effort is required by the user.
Regardless of how many courtrooms or courthouses a circuit may have, CourtSmart allows for the seamless scalability of a single room or many with a total transparency to the users. When a remote recording solution is required such as a portable system, CourtSmart software provides the ability to automatically upload all recordings to a centralized server for database update, integration, and permanent archiving to DVD-RAM media.
CourtSmart's fully redundant recording solution provides two completely independent servers recording proceedings. Each server has its own independent ODBC database, independent archive and independent audio encoding components. A failure by any one server or software associated with the server will not prevent a record from being made on the redundant server. The backup permanent archive can automatically be streamed off site to a secure location where the DVD media can be written and stored. All of this capability is provided through CourtSmart software.
