OPERATIONS MANAGER

President of CourtSmart

Job Description:

CourtSmart Digital Systems is poised for a tremendous leap forward in our success story. We have grown significantly in our 15-year history that has included being named to INC Magazines top 500/5000 privately held companies for 5 years. We are now in a position to hire a top-notch operations manager to lead our company forward. This key position will require technical management skills and experience and will bring together the technical support, A/V, and customer service groups.
This is mostly an in-house position, with telephone and on-site support covering the continental United States, Canada, Bermuda and Europe working with various courts (all levels), police agencies and legislative bodies. Some travel is required as is the ability to pass intensive background checks through the FBI, GSA, Interpol and other agencies as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and lead teams of 9-18 IT, A/V and customer service technicians and representatives.
  • Provide the CEO with reporting and business metrics to build and implement financial planning and strategies.
  • Escalate and communicate customer/support requests for software changes and technical issues found in the application to CourtSmart Management Team.
  • Test new software releases (post QA) in real-world environments.
  • Research technologies and products that benefit CourtSmart and support our business strategies.
  • Develop technical notes, FAQ’s, knowledge base and other technical information for CourtSmart products.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional team processes including development, technical support, installations, and administration of these areas.
  • Develop procedures and processes for support operations.
  • Negotiate with vendors for best possible price points.
  • Continuous evaluation of customer needs and projection of support thereof.
  • Formally evaluate staff on a annual basis and provide growth plans.
  • Develop management and leadership skills in the team members under your control.
  • Evaluate management software systems for support and sharing of information from sales, administration, and technical departments.
  • Develop a plan for a proactive, managed solution support system.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the President, including meetings and training.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a role with operations, support and management responsibilities in a software-A/V company.
  • Strong organizational management skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of protocols: SMTP, DNS, FTP, TCP/IP.
  • Experience with disaster recovery strategies.
  • Proven attention to details and follow-up.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Management experience in technical support and customer service.
  • Support system implementation and evaluation experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Experience in creativity and mentoring subordinates.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required to fill management and business needs.
