One of the critical elements that affects the ability of an organization to implement cost effective technology is the lack of integration that exists among the many applications that are needed in the court system. CourtSmart has long believed that the future of an e-strategy is in the ability for all applications to not only share information but go to the extent of being able to offer a single interface to the end user. CourtSmart software has always been designed to open standards utilizing fully ODBC compliant technology. This means that the CourtSmart application can integrate with case management systems for example and have real-time updating and retrieving through a single interface and one data entry operation for both applications.
CourtSmart has already achieved this with several CMS systems and is continuing to work with additional vendors to provide this integration with their offerings.
Integration also has another meaning with CourtSmart that is the internal integration of several applications within the standard CourtSmart product. For example, CourtSmart integrates digital recording with remote conferencing, security surveillance, and messaging. Imagine having the capability from a single interface to link to any courtroom, jail, or other location and choose to record the proceedings with a single click of a pointing device. CourtSmart has accomplished this and more.
