The Florida Senate installed CourtSmart in 2001 to record all committee rooms and the main Senate chamber. There is a staff of more than 10 transcribers that are attached over the LAN to CourtSmart and produce daily transcripts of the proceedings. CourtSmart centrally records all hearings to the central CourtSmart servers. The control of the system is in each hearing room and main chambers where staff annotate the record and control the recordings.
