DuPage County, IL has been considered one of the premier electronic recording sites in the country. More articles have been written about this installation than any other. Under the direction of Court Reporting Supervisor Geri Barnes, 26 courtrooms are being centrally controlled and monitored by her staff of certified court reporters. DuPage has been installed for over 6 years and produced in 2004 more than 170,000 pages of transcripts from the CourtSmart system. In the six years of operation not a minute of audio was ever lost due to system malfunction.
