Auto Archiver
With CourtSmart's fully automated archive management system, you can be assured that your court records are archived securely, quickly and accurately. CourtSmart uses the newest Blu-ray, or DVD technology for primary and backup archiving. The archived data is automatically authenticated by the CourtSmart archive software application assuring that the archived data is valid and an exact copy of the original. The discs are automatically fed into the writers, printed with any material or images desired and stacked for removal. This process is automatic and requires no operator intervention except the replenishment of blank media and the removal of the imaged disks. Blu-ray media is capable of storing over 300 hours of four channel audio on a single disc with our newest compression technology , while DVDs will store 100 or more hours. Once the records are archived, they can be stored in a fire-proof locker or off-site for added security. Both primary and backup servers produce independent copies and this makes the system ideal for a disaster recovery plan.
With the intuitive user interface and integrated database, retrieval of past recordings has been fully automated. Detailed session information of all past recordings including tags and attachments are always online and available for review even when the audio is off-line. Information can be searched on any combination of case number, parties present, attorneys, judge or any other session notes. If the audio is archived on Blu-ray or DVD media, the system tells the user which media the session or sessions are stored on and the specific disc is then restored by placing it in the media drive of the server. The sessions are displayed and the specific proceeding can then be selected for duplication, listening or transcription. Installations that contain multiple sites can forward all recordings for central archiving and retrieval using the unique CourtSmart software provided with the Archive application. Searches are further enhanced by allowing a single search query to retrieve from multiple sites as long as there is WAN connectivity.
