With CourtSmart's fully automated archiving management system, you can be assured that your court records are archived securely, quickly and accurately. CourtSmart uses the newest DVD-RAM, or DVD-R technology for primary and backup archiving. The DVD-RAM cartridges have a 9.4 GB capacity, which means that 80-90 hours of 4-channel audio can be achieved on a single cartridge. On single courtroom systems, CD-R is also offered as a recording media but DVD-RAM is preferable. Once the records are archived, they can be stored in a fire-proof locker or off-site for added security.
With the intuitive user interface and integrated database, retrieval of past recordings has been fully automated. Detailed session information of all past recordings including tags and attachments are always online and available for review even when the audio is off-line. Information can be searched on any combination of case number, parties present, attorneys, judge or any other session notes. If the audio is archived on DVD-RAM, the specific disc is restored by placing it in the DVD-RAM drive of the server. The sessions are then displayed and the specific proceeding can then be selected for duplication, listening or transcription.
